Jubilee party held in Vicarage Street, Woburn Sands in June 2002.
The film starts with two title pages ‘Jubilee Party June 2002’ and ‘Vicarage Street Woburn Sands’ with fanfare music in the background. It then cuts to an empty road with `Road ahead closed` sign (private party residents only). Groups of residents are seen setting up stalls and playing `guess the resident` using old photos. The houses have been decorated with flags and bunting. Lots of people are seen gathering wearing cardboard crowns, a `Royal Enclosure` is shown in a front garden, some people are blowing bubbles, others carrying small drums, two small children are seen playing Recorders. There is lots of noise and a party atmosphere. They all sing `God Save The Queen`, a big cheer goes up and they all walk down the street playing instruments and making noise. They arrive at the drink stalls and are told which are alcoholic by a resident on a microphone, the camera pans to people chatting and enjoying the atmosphere.
00:05:53 the camera cuts back to the `guess the resident` game and we hear lots of laughter, the film cuts to different activities including splat the rat, children’s races, hopscotch and face-painting. These are interspersed with shots of people at the party. We also see shots of the barbeques, food tables and people eating. Over the last few scenes we hear the residents singing `Rule Britannia`.
