It starts with shots of the 1:50 acoustic model of the theatre with the features explained by Raf Orlovski an acoustic consultant for Arup Acoustics explaining how it works. This is followed by general shots of the internal and external construction of the theatre.

The film starts with a view of the model looking from the stage into the seating areas. Raf Orlovski explains what we are seeing and the purpose of the acoustic tests and how they do them. The camera then films the model from various angles. Raf Orlovski goes on to talk about the variable acoustics at Milton Keynes theatre and how this is achieved by changing the height of the roof. He talks about the different reverberation times required for different types of performance. Whilst he does this he demonstrates on the model the different heights of the ceiling. The film then cuts to an external view of the model and Raf Orlovski again demonstrates the movement of the ceiling, describing what he is doing as he talks. The camera focusses on him rather than the model.

00:12:05 the film cuts to a view of Raf Orlovski seated next to the model. He is interviewed by an unseen interviewer. He initially talks about Arup Acoustics and what they do. He then goes on to talk about how they were approached by Andrzej Blonski and asked to be involved with the theatre project from the competition stage. He continues on to talk about the acoustic needs of Milton Keynes theatre, how they are meeting these needs with a moving ceiling and the importance of making this decision from the start of the planning process. He goes on to talk about their involvement in the construction of the building to ensure it is built to the correct standard. He then talks about how they have to do a variety of tests and checks once construction is completed to ensure it is all operating correctly.

00:19:17 the film then cuts back to show an acoustic test in progress in the model.
00:21:06 the film cuts. It resumes at 00:21:11 with a view of the theatre at night from across the road. The camera focuses on the ‘Laing’ sign at the top of the building.
00:25:18 the film cuts to a construction scene at the building site of the MK theatre, builders are hooking up steel girders to the crane, these are then lifted high up to the building then lowered inside. Some close-ups of the inside of the building follow showing the steel framework and scaffolding. These are followed by general views of the outside of the building and adjacent building work.
