A short film about Milton Keynes Theatre. It starts with two takes of an interview with Michael Lynas the CEO. He then takes the interviewer on a tour and we see the Garden Room and shots of the foyer.
The film starts with the interview by an unknown interviewer. They talk about what Michael Lynas’s aims are for the theatre and how flexible it is. He mentions how many visitors they have had in the first year and how the local community have been involved. He finishes by saying why he thinks people come to the theatre. The camera focusses on Michael Lynas throughout the majority of the interview.
00:04:03 the film cuts to show Michael Lynas taking the interviewer on a tour of the theatre. It starts in an empty seating area, with laminate flooring and several clusters of red chairs around small tables. One wall is glass. The film then cuts to a view of a sign “THE GARDEN ROOM” above a doorway into a seating area, presumably the one just filmed. The two men walk through the doorway away from the camera into the Garden Room. The film cuts to show the staircase and we see the two men walk into shot and past the stairs. The film then cuts to the box office where two customers are talking to staff. Michael Lynas and the interviewer walk past them. The film next cuts to an elevated view of the main entrance and we see a man enter. The two men walk past towards the box office. The film then cuts to a different view of the entrance lobby showing them walking away from the camera. The camera then cuts to a “MINOLTA” plaque on a pillar before cutting back to the staircase and the seating and directional sign underneath. We then see general shots of the foyer including the lifts.
