Northampton Mercury - Extracts from 'Inland Transport' from the Edinburgh Review on rail roads and steam carriages (1832).
Photocopy from an article in the Northampton Mercury that reprinted two extracts from an article favouring the railways. The article was originally published in the Edinburgh Review. The first extract contains a summary of the advantages gained from the increased facility of communication between remote parts of the country. The second includes a description of how successful Stevenson’s Locomotive Engine has been for the Liverpool & Manchester Rail road.
