Our archive has been built up over the last 25 years as a by product of heritage and artistic collection projects.  It  is inspired by people’s lives and memories as well as events relating to the social history of the area. It contains thousands of photographs, oral history interviews, film and documents which have been used to inspire songs, plays, books, educational resources and websites.

It has only been in the last few years that we have realised its value and started to professionally archive and catalogue collections to make them accessible online.
