  • My father had a Scrap yard in New Bradwell opposite the New Inn E Goodman and son another of our scrap yards was Newport Road near the recreation ground my Uncle Bill Goodman had this yard however all the Goodman brother’s worked in the yards My grandmother and grandfather had their caravan opposite the top yard Romany gypsy travelers well known in New Bradwell for helping the poor families The canal ran beside yard with a house lived in by Mr Mrs clamp we often went on the Newport Nobby ,Lots more to relate regarding my family i would say the photograph was taken 1940
